Today is shaping up to be busier than I anticipated. There is a chance that I'll be there closer to 4:30-5:00! You should still go and unwind. We have a long week ahead of us... ;-)
I had planned to make it, but I was in a car accident on Saturday (a flatbed trailer came loose from a pickup truck on Columbia Parkway and hit my car). I'm OK, but I'm sore and stiff. Have a drink for me.
Hope you all had a good time, sorry I could not make it, next time for sure. The planets just were not aligned plus it was a holiday, and a Monday. I did stop down to check it out last week but was not impressed and I posted in the first Happy hour announcement, I think it is a little buried so I reposted. (see below) What did you think of them?
Stopped in the other day to try the mojitos and they were god awful, super sweet bar mix it tasted like corn syrup more than a mojito. I could not drink it, attempts to work with the bartender to create a scratch margarita was not particularly successful either. At least he did not charge me for the $3 mojito, I tipped him 30% for effort.
Same thing at Nada two weeks ago, the nadarita is an awful barmix. Their over priced "premium" marg was terrible also, we were able to work with the bartender to finally get a good true Margaret Sames Marg, one part Cointreau, two parts tequila and one part FRESH lime or there abouts. Triple sec has no business in a classic.
Any barkeep worth his bar salt should know how to make the few basic classics well, if a bar want's to create their own "twist" on a classic they should at least offer and know how to make an acceptable original and have the resources on hand.
Well, did ANYBODY show up, judging from the lack of furious posting I have to turn to conjecture, did Polly show sans menu, was Anon civil? Did it turn into a drunken brawl? inquiring minds want to know!
Nicci, Sorry I missed it, tough night, how were the mojitos? Hope you all had a good time, can we try a Wed's or better yet Friday next time, I'll buy first round for the staffers.

I have a class that meets this evening, so I can't come. Hope everyone has fun!

Sorry to hear Stepf.

Me, Lauren and Polly (sans menu) were there. Oh, and Keith Reed of P&G blog fame happened to be there. So he joined our party...

I hope next time is a Friday night in northern Kentucky.
Thanks for your concern! Sorry I missed it!
