Stoup?

Howdy, folks. As it says in my well-worded bio (thanks, Nicci!), I LOVE trying new recipes. And I get them from everywhere: friends, the web, family, books, TV, etc.

I'll try anything once (ahem), and usually stick to the recipe the first time i try it. But then I get crazy with it if we liked it enough to try it again.

My first try for this blog was a recipe I've been holding on to for quite a while. It's called "Spaghetti and Meatball Stoup," and it comes from kitchen mistress Rachel Ray, before she was a bigshot talk TV hostess.

A stoup, according to Ray, is a cross between a soup and a stew, in her words: thicker than soup, thinner than stew. Clever, huh?

Anyway, YUM-O! It was a little time-consuming to make for a weekday meal, but FABULOUS for a chilly weekend supper. Try it; you might like it! And if you have any time-saving tips connected to this recipe, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE leave a comment!

The problem with Rachael Ray is that she's just annoying. She may have good recipes, but tries to get so cutesy all the time. EVOO? Stoup? Give me a break.
