Mobil 4-star
Mobil Travel Guides released this year's listing of 4 and 5-star hotels and restaurants today. Jean-Robert at Pigall's has 4 stars again. It's the only restaurant in Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana on the list.
This used to be such a big deal every year when we waited for the announcement to see if Maisonette would still be on the 5-star list. This may not be as big a story: there was nothing like Maisonette's track record and even though they always were there on the list, every year it somehow felt like a cliffhanger. But it's great to see Pigall's get the recognition--which, in my opinion, it deserves.

Polly, this is somewhat of a surprise. I thought that The Palace and the Oakroom at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville last year. Have these restaurants lost a star? Then again, perhaps I'm thing of the AAA Diamond ratings...
Just curious what our other 'big' local restaurants scored; the Palace, Orchids, Boca, David's etc?
I know, there used to be several 4-star Mobil restaurants locally. I'd have to look up when there were others--I think Orchids was 4 and maybe Daveed's. . . But last year it was just JR. They don't release the 3-star list until later, so I don't know how those very excellent restaurants rated.
