Dessert crisis averted

I just remembered that I am supposed to bring a dessert to a party after work (not that I can have any of it, since I am not supposed to be eating sugar...but I'm not bitter or anything). Good news is I almost always have Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate brownie mix from Costco sitting in the pantry. I've tried almost every mix out there, and it's the best by far. It's a gianormous box with 6 packages of mix. I use 2 packages and bake them in a 13x9 pan for 44 minutes. Makes crazy-thick, chewy brownies. If you want to get fancy, you can doctor up the mix. But honestly, it's just awesome the way it is. Hope my coworkers think so too.

LOVE the triple chocolateyness of Ghirardelli brownie mix. yum. i have a recipe that says you mix up a double batch, pour half of it in a 9x13 pan, cover with Hershey milk chocolate bars, then pour in the other half of the mix. Bake as usual.

Sin City, I'm tellin' ya. And wouldn't that be great if you used the cookies and cream Hershey bars... I'm gettin' the vapors just thinking about it.

I almost threw in a bunch of mini-marshmallows to see how that would work out. I wimped out, since I had to serve it to other people. I'm sure it would have been great, though. Next time, I'll try the candy bar trick.
