Wine expert found dead

An absolute shame - Paul Ortiz was found dead in his downtown apartment. The former wine director at Boca had started the Cincinnati Wine School. He's worked at several restaurants over the years, so it seems like everyone in the industry knew him.

Paul was a wonderful man and very knowlegable about wine. He will be very much missed. My condolences to all his restaurant family.

He will be missed and it is SEMI-food related, but... somehow I never thought this blog should be used to talk about those types of SPIRITS. If everytime a restaurant owner appears in the obituary section of the newspaper there is a chance of a blog entry. I'll pass on The Foodie Report.
