If "Fast Food Nation" didn't turn you off fast food forever, maybe this will
Via USA Today's Pop Candy blog, here is a photographic comparison of how various fast foods appear in ads vs. in real life. What looks the most similar? My vote's for the Filet o' Fish. Despite the disclaimer, the Arby's Beef 'n' Cheddar really does look like it was run over by a car. Gross.

I would totally be a food stylist... Check out this link for more fake food fun: http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/advertisingtricks/foodadtricks.html
Ew! No one would eat it if it really looked like that in pictures! Food stylists have all kinds of tricks... most of which render food inedible. What a waste! Oh well, it looks pretty. "Fast Food Nation" swore me off beef. All I can think when I look at grocery-store or fast-food beef is "300 cows." If you don't know what that means, look it up.
The KFC Famous Bowl looks really bad!
